Apple has confirmed that it has more iPod Touches on hand and that they are still available for purchase from both Apple and retailers. However, after the stock is depleted, the multimedia cruiser will be rendered obsolete.
The most recent model is the 7th generation iPod touch. It was released in May 2019 and looks quite similar to the previous generation, with the difference that it includes the A10 processor (the same as the iPhone 7) and allows for more storage as well as new color options.
