iOS 15.5 is now available: here's a rundown of what's new

Apple has released the final version of iOS 15.5 (build 19F77) for the iPhone and iPad OS 15.5 for the iPad. She arrives after four bêtas and a beta release that was intended for public developers and testers.

The final version of iOS 15.5 is now available.

Here are Apple's iOS 15.5 new features (some of which are not yet available in all countries):

  1. The Cartes application now allows Apple Cash customers to send and request money from their Apple Cash card (in the United States).
  2. Apple Podcasts now has a new setting that allows you to restrict the number of episodes stored on your iPhone and automatically delete older episodes.
  3. Repair a problem that might lead to the failure of home automation systems that are activated when people leave or arrive.

There are many other elements not included in Apple's official notes. For example, the function Commande Universelle (Universal Control) is no longer seen as a flaw. There is also the return of the time API and the blocking of sensitive locations for photo memories.

To download iOS 15.5, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update. The update will appear, and you will be able to begin the download and installation process. Otherwise, you may go to our dedicated website, download the update, and manually install it on your Mac (through the Finder) or Windows PC (via iTunes).
