The manufacture of the iPhone 14 Max has been delayed, but that isn't Apple's biggest threat, according to Kuo

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple should be able to get manufacturing back on track, but demand will most likely be its largest difficulty.

What you should know

  • According to reports, Apple is three weeks behind schedule in terms of iPhone 14 Max production.
  • Apple is expected to be able to make up the difference by having employees work extra.
  • According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple's major worry this year will be demand rather than supply.

Ming-Chi Kuo has confirmed a recent rumor that the new iPhone 14 Max is behind schedule in terms of production, but the analyst also believes that this will not be Apple's greatest difficulty with this year's launch.

Kuo confirmed on Twitter that the iPhone 14 Max manufacturing is being delayed by up to three weeks due to a recent plant shutdown. Shanghai COVID- 19 lockdowns have delayed the manufacturing of numerous goods, including Apple's iPhone.

Kuo, on the other hand, feels production is "still under control" and that "suppliers may work extra to make up" with the prior manufacturing schedule. That would imply that things will be back on track by September's scheduled launch date.

Kuo went on to explain that he believes Apple's major concern this year would be demand rather than supply. Ongoing global economic uncertainty may make the new iPhone lineup more difficult to market than in prior years, resulting in lower-than-expected demand. This, in turn, might help with any production challenges Apple may have at launch.

Apple is anticipated to release four new iPhones later this year, two with 6.1-inch screens and two with 6.7-inch displays. Each screen size will have a Pro and non-Pro variant, with the non-Pro 6.7-inch option being the iPhone 14 Max. That gadget is likely to employ older Apple technology, similar to the current iPhone 13, and to have a notch. The Pro versions will be the first to be released without a notch, and they will undoubtedly be the greatest iPhones Apple has ever sold.
